The question about spirits earns Kenzie a wrinkled nose of mild aggravation. "I don't know if there are spirits here," Stacia says unhappily. "I mean, the weird whispering had to come from somewhere, and it doesn't feel like I was knocked out by being dropped from a height. So maybe? Maybe they're just not like the spirits we're used to. We could try to pick a fight with a tree or something, but that feels like a bad idea."
