"You can go home. I'd prefer to keep exploring," Dan says, before outright breaking into laughter at Filbo's charitable assessment of his voice. "Oh, pal, I hate to break it to you but this honeyed timbre comes natural. It ain't going nowhere."

He fills Filbo's glass, this time with a less high-proof beer. Filbo's really going through them, and Dan wants to make sure the alcohol doesn't do anything to grumpuses before he gets Filbo wasted.
