He emphasizes the word love in order to sound like he's taunting her. Actually he just wants to understand, he thought his dictionary definition was spot on but apparently it's not? He's not getting which part is incorrect, and is kind of disappointed. Well, if he can't have a family, he wants to at least understand what it is. He hopes CT's explanation will not be too sarcastic, he doesn't always do well with sarcasm.
