As soon as Cammie says that Ange jumps off the tree, regretting that immediately. Falling like that is not good for injured ankles! Still, she'll have to worry more about that later -- when she's far away, and not currently under the Nightrenders' aura. Ange shivers, already dredging up her worst memories. It takes her all of her willpower to not get lost in them...truthfully, that there are too many bad memories to choose from may be what helped her, cycling without her being able to focus too much on a single one.
Time to run! She turns to Cammie for a moment once they're going, though.

For running away and putting herself in danger like this, she means. If it wasn't for Cammie arriving, she probably would have gotten caught. At least Ange has the decency to sound apologetic, even if it's hard to tell from how exhausted she feels, both physically and emotionally.
