Oh, good, it wasn't all for nothing! That bunch is safe. The Nightrenders aren't...completely fooled, but they did turn around for a moment -- and it didn't help the mirror levitated back to Ange once she was some distance away. When you don't have a way to fight back, distractions truly is everything you have.

She had been about to reply to that, when suddenly everything around her changed. Instead of forest, there was a wider path, presumably leading north. The Nightrenders, unable to move immediately, were left behind somewhere else in the faire grounds. Once she noticed the danger was gone, at least for the time being, Ange sighed, stopping. This really had been a rough evening so far.
